So, yes, I finally got my hands on Sims 3. So, for the people who haven't gotten it yet, here's some scoop:

GOOD -

1) The faces are MUCH more realistic now. And you can customize a hell of a lot more on the face too!
2) You can customize the color on pretty much anything. Clothes, hair, etc... Also, you control base color, highlights, root color, and tip color on hair alone. Imagine what you can do with everything else.
3) I think EA was inspired a bit by Google Earth Not only can you look around the town when you're controlling sims (you can go past your lot and see the other houses, in low detail if you need it to go quickly), but you can zoom out and look at the entire town whenever you like, and have your sims go to wherever you need. And you can control several sims when they go out of their house, even if they're going to seperate places. x3
4) Body types and colors - Oh yeah, much more options.
5) YOU CAN BUY A HOUSE FULLY FURNISHED. Which is awesome because I hate decorating the houses DX
6) download manager - they added one for the start up of the game. Which is awesome, because now I can sort through and remove any downloads I don't want anymore D8

BAD -
1) Hairstyles and clothing are, as always, limited. And there are almost no mods/meshes/anything uploaded by other users right now. D8 Hurry up people!
2) Body types. EA once again didn't give me the option to customize the entire body. D8 They claimed in the advertisements that you could make any body type, but it's not true. I cannot give my fat sims fat rolls, or guts, all I can do is make them wide. :< And I still can't make flat chested girl sims.
3) Gameplay is... not awesome so far. The sims like to freeze mid-action and stare off into space. Normally I would assume that the sims are just forgetting something, or being spacey, but they do it constantly, and will even freeze mid-step while staring off into space. (The game itself is not frozen, just the sims.) It may just be my computer, but Sims 2 still runs beautifully for me, so....
4) Graphics are not really awesome either. I turned up the sim/object detail on my Sims 2 and everyting is gorgeous, even now, after I have seen better graphics. I turned up the sim/object detail on Sims 3, and it doesn't look awesome at all. I keep thinking that the detail is off, because it isn't great.

Ah well... I got the Collector's Edition, so I got this badass plumbob USB... right now I think I'll play Sims 2 until a few more patches and downloads are available for Sims 3... -_-
